10 kilometres

10 kilometres. We walked through unknown roads in a beautiful city, Jogjakarta.

We set an alarm in the early morning, so we can reach the location without arriving late. We went there by motorcycle. Fresh air went through your body makes me chilling, at the same time refreshing. Such a rare experience to feel those atmosphere. In our routines, we always face traffic jam, pollution, horn. I felt it through my spine, those fresh oxygen. Even without telling people with my words, my face said it all, that morning is the best time to go anywhere.

We arrived 20 minutes later, at Prambanan Temple. We joined an event named “Jogjakarta International Heritage Walk”. It was an event which invited you to walk together, enjoying the traditional atmosphere in Jogjakarta. Well, i said traditional atmosphere, because for 3 years i’ve been living here, i can feel the atmosphere in every spot in Jogjakarta. The city is known for its cultures, its people and its greatness.

We walked about 10 kilometres in 2 hours. Is it too long? :/ Yeah, perhaps. We thought it was really amazing, to think that we can finish it. We were really tired, knowing us who were too lazy to do any sport. But, surprisingly, the event itself is really amazing. I thought, we were just walking, cleared mission by stamp our card and then off to home. But nope. It was such an amazing experience to meet many kind foreigners and to know temples which haven’t been exposed before.

And finally, yeay ! After 2 hours of walking, we arrived at the starting point, welcomed by Gong (traditional musical instrument).

Such a nice day ! I managed to take photos of our journey that day. Thank you for event organizer ! See ya !
